From Autumn to Spring (October to April) the Club organises regular indoor meetings on the third Wednesday of each month.
A formal winter programme of talks is arranged. These start promptly at 7.30pm in the Seven Stars Meeting Room. In the summer (May-September) events are less formal and not on any particular day of the month.

An Antarctican Adventure Alice Henderson - Oct 16th at 7:30pm
Alice has always been drawn to having adventures. Growing up free range on a farm in South Devon led her on many explorations of local woodlands and wild flower meadows in search of wildlife. After a local education, and some not so local jobs, she has made her way back to the South Hams to work at Slapton Ley Field Centre as a Volunteer Co-ordinator.
But it has not been all work work work! from an early age, adventures have led Alice to Iceland overland and by sea, around the Caribbean on a racing yacht, climbing up mountains, white-water rafting and kayaking in New Zealand and getting up close and personal with cheetahs whilst volunteering in Namibia…just to name a few.
Her latest adventure to Antarctica was inspired by her mum, who took to travelling and having adventures after her diagnosis with MND. Although she could not join Alice on this incredible journey, she lived it through the many MANY photos that were sent home along the way.
Antarctica is a place of Icebergs and penguins, not of course forgetting the breath-taking scenery, extraordinary wildlife encounters and homemade Ukrainian vodka. Sailing there on a 100 year old tall ship, crossing drakes passage as explorers did many centuries before, made the experience all the more special.
Join Alice’s journey in photos through the rugged mountains of Patagonia, across the steep swell of the southern ocean and explore the icy backwaters and bays of the Antarctic Peninsula.
